The Pulpit
The pulpit was designed by Cram and Ferguson and bears the carved symbols of the
four Evangelists. It was installed on Saint Andrew's Day, 1930, the twentieth
anniversary of Bishop George Allen Beecher's consecration. It was given by several
hundred people in all parts of the country in recognition of his unselfish service
in Western Nebraska, and as a grateful tribute to his deep instinct of shepherdhood.
The inscription on the side reads:
